THE QUIET HOUR

The capital city of Cardon, Dalecrowns, has a long standing rule, The Quiet Hour. It is a time of quiet reflection and thought of the future. All citizens must be indoors, the only ones allowed to walk the streets are the night guards. With winter approaching a silent assassin murders two guards during quiet hour and no one hears a thing. King Burhmann and the captain of the guards, Korid, begin searching for the assassin and the reason behind the attack.

List of characters in no particular order:
(the following is only basic backgrounds, I have more that will be in the story)

King Burhmann;
His reign as king has been a short one so far. He was successor to the previous king only 5 years before the start of this story.

High Mage Lorac Delquin;
Lorac was the previous king's counselor. When King Burhmann took kingship he threw Lorac out of the Palace and sent him home to his Fort. No one question the act for the king had his reasons for throwing Lorac out. Lorac had been using the old king as a puppet to get the things he wanted in life. The past 5 years have changed Lorac in many ways. Too many to list here, but his evilness has soured his soul and now he walks with the dead.

Korid;
Korid is head of Dalecrowns's city guard. He is rather large for a human and some believe he is a mix of a larger race, but this is just rumor and speculation. I don't have much more that I wish to share at this time.

Berett;
He is a member of the city guard and looks up to Korid as someone to strive to be like. He joined the guards only a year before the start of the story. The 6 months before he joined are a complete mystery to him.

Ryz Lesski;
Ryz is a halfling who is guild leader to The Red Shadows, one of many thieving guilds in the city.

Marcel Lender;
Marcel is guild leader of The Silent Swords, another of the guilds.

Wendy Weldin;
Wendy is the guild leader of The Ruby Roses, the only female guild in the city.

Rastic Moklan;
Rastic is head of the Dalecrowns chapter of The Mystic Dragons guild. This guild can be found in every corner of Drakken and is comprised mostly of humans with dragon blood in them.

The Assassin;
Little is known of this dark character. He plagues the streets of Dalecrowns during the Quiet Hour killing guards. As the story progresses he will be tied to 2 of the above characters. Which ones will be a mystery until it happens.

There are several other minor characters, including a few red shirts that may not get names as they will only last about a paragraph or 2, but you will have to wait and see them all in the story. If my outline is how the story actually ends up, some of the above characters will not be seen until half way into the book.
