"Twisted
Alice"
This is a telescope design inspired by Ron Ravenberg's 8" Alice.
What I did was rotate the focuser board 45 degrees,
to make viewing easier. It was designed and built in 1997.
The telescope optics are from my first scope, a
10.1" f/4.5
Coulter Odyssey. The telescope was fabricated out of
1/2" Birch plywood and cut out on CNC equipment. Everything
fit together wonderfully, but the week after first light a
flood claimed my car and the telescope therein. All that
survives is the optical set and this computer design.
