I was born in La Crosse, Wisconsin in 1968. My family moved around a lot when I was younger, but we always stayed in Wisconsin. We finally ended up back in La Crosse where I graduated from Logan High School. I attended UW-Whitewater for 1 year and then returned to La Crosse to attend UW-La Crosse. I graduated from UW-La Crosse with a degree in Sociology. While attending high school and college, I worked at KFC in La Crosse. This is where I met John. We were married in 1990. The following year, I started working for the State of Wisconsin for what is now known as the Department of Workforce Development, where I am still working. When I am not being mom to Matt and Aaron or stepmom to Casey, I like to read. My favorite category of books is romantic suspense, but I do enjoy a regular romance book sometimes. I also enjoy walking, watching baseball, and working in the yard. Due to John’s influence, I am also a Chicago Cubs fan, but he will never make me a Miami Dolphin fan, GO GREEN BAY PACKERS!
