Weekly Spelling List
Students receive a weekly spelling list on Monday. Pretests are given on Wednesday mornings. Students practice their words with a "study buddy" before each test.
Spelling lists are taken from our reading series. Bonus words are taken from the reading series, or are related to topics of study for the week. Correctly spelled bonus words take the place of any misspelled regular words. Misspelled bonus words do not count against the student's score. Students who receive a 90% or above on the pretest are not required to take the retest. Retests are given on Friday morning.
