Molly's Eulogy

Thank you family, friends, and coworkers for coming today to pay your respects. We are here to say goodbye to Molly and to contemplate how she has lived her life and how we live our own. Molly has touched many more people's lives than there are here today. As we all know, she had devoted herself to the profession of nursing. She brought compassion, dedication, and professionalism to her career and was always concerned for the patients' wellbeing. She was just as, or more, committed to her family. I know Molly's generosity has helped many people and family members gathered here today. She was always the first to offer support to anyone who needed help. She would willingly drop everything at a moment's notice and go to help.

God impressed on Molly at an early age the difference between what was morally right and wrong. Some may have thought Molly was rigid and opinionated, but I saw her as having fortitude and the ability to stand up for what was morally right. She was committed to her faith, her husband El, her children Kevin and Penny, the rest of her family, and lastly her profession. Molly gave her all in anything she set her mind toward accomplishing. Molly did not have a spirit of fear; she would tackle any obstacle and try to overcome it. She brought that same determination to her disease, breast cancer. She battled cancer for 15 years. During that 15 years she helped numerous family members, friends, and others. She saw both her children graduate from high school and college, get married, and she was able to enjoy a grandchild's love and affection. She also built a new home and enjoyed some of the fruits of her labors.

In her passing, she will leave a great void in our collective hearts, but we can be certain that Molly with her great faith in Christ Jesus as her personal Lord and Savior is in Heaven singing glorious praises to God and rejoicing with all who preceeded her in physical death. As we mourn her death, yet she has new life in Heaven. We also need that new life in our lives. We thank God for allowing us the privilege to have known and loved Molly and enjoy her uniqueness for this brief period. Thank you for coming and sharing our grief with us.
