JoH Ranks, Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Justiciars: 

A.     Vote as ‘Keepers’ in all Keeper consensus’

B.     Defines guild vision and enforces policies.

C.     Determines promotions/demotions/removals of any and all members

D.     Can reinstate a demoted or removed member to his/her former rank.

E.      May change any and all By-Laws of the guild

F.      Develop/assign rank structure and officers

G.     Determine guild emblem and colors.

H.     Determine what ranks wear the guild emblem.

I.        Assigns medals and various awards and titles.

J.       Determines treasury distributions and authorizes treasurer to distribute funds.

K.    Accept new recruits as members

L.      Maintain at least 2 classes

M.    In the event of a resignation of a Justiciar, the Justiciar will appoint a sitting Keeper to the office of Justiciar. In the event this office is totally vacated and no appointment is made, a majority vote among the sitting Keepers and Patriarchs will determine a current Keeper for the Justiciar position

 

Keepers:  4 Maximum /of the Keys=donations, vault/ of War= Ambassador/ of the Craft (min 800 craft skill /of the Faith= personnel management

A.     Promotes in the absence of a Justiciar any member a Justiciar has authorized for promotion.

B.     May demote any member lower in rank. A consensus of Keepers can remove any member of Keeper or lower rank

C.     A majority vote of Keepers is required to reinstate a member demoted for cause.

D.     Forum moderators.

E.      Enforce guild policies. Ensure civility between all members of the guild.

F.      Keepers will maintain at least 2 classes and will ensure participation by all members for war activities.

G.     Keeper of War will coordinate alliances concerning strategic operations.

I.        Accept new recruits as members

J.       Will be active participants in guild activities.

K.    Assist in maintaining the vault of items for the guild. Ensure members properly fitted w/ equipment by utilizing vaulted crafted/ obtained equipment

L.  Keeper of the Keys: Guild treasurer. Distributes guild funds as authorized by a Justiciar.

M. Keeper of the Craft: Manages crafters and changes in the DAoC crafting system. Decides what is best for the guild equipment program, to include crafted/one time drops/dropped equipment

N. Keeper of War: Ambassador to the alliance, coordinates out of guild rvr activities, assists in personnel management

O. Keeper of the Faith: assist gm in personnel management

P. Forum participation a MUST

 

Patriarchs: 4 Max Must have proven to have sound decision and judgment capabilities; mediators. 

    A.     Assist in personnel management

     B.   Must maintain at least 2 class types

     C.  Seek out alliances as Ambassadors of the JoH

     D. Any Patriarch can demote for cause a member below the rank of Warder. They may demote through consensus a Guardian/Warder in conjunction with a single Keeper vote. A Guardian/Warder is allowed an appeal to the Keepers on any adverse action. A majority vote of Keepers is required to reinstate the accused, or a Justiciar decision.

     F. Forum participation a MUST

   

Guardians Max 2 Guardians per class

A.    Class leaders; (Justiciars, Keepers, Patriarchs and Guardians comprise War Council) 

B.    Expected to coordinate and participate in XP parties when needed.

C.   Forum participation a MUST

 

Warder

A. Sub-Class leaders; Warders defer to their class Guardians decisions

B. Expected to coordinate and participate in XP parties when needed.

 

Defender   

                   A. May wear guild emblem/colors

                   B. Consistant players, may be leaders of partying groups

 C. The bulk of the JoH

 

Disciple   25gp donation to guild coffers required for promotion (due to Defenders

                being authorized to wear the emblem- the 25gp  is an emblem donation). 

                Take care of the guild at every opportunity. Examples:  offer to make material 

                runs for the busy guild crafters, create a char to be a guild vault for various items

                required for the guild, etc.

 

Acolyte   The more you play the sooner you will be recognized for promotion :)

 

Initiate    2-week MINIMUM play time with guild members for promotion eligibility. Must post on forum for

                2 week period to begin. During this time your fit in the JoH as a member is evaluated. 15 yrs old MINIMUM –

                (some exceptions may be made depending on maturity of the initiate)

 

 

The guild will make every effort to assist these highest crafters monetarily to level their skill above 650 Note: only a weapon and armor crafter can qualify for the Keeper position.

 

Promotion Eligibility Requirements:

Initiate                         Recruited by any member and permission to join granted by a Keeper or above. Minimum 15 yrs old (exceptions are possible for younger people displaying a higher maturity level)

 

 

Acolyte                        Minimum 2 weeks as an Initiate. A post must be made on the forum to begin 2 week eval period as Initiate.

 

Disciple                        Play as much as possible. 

 

 

Defender                      25gp donation to the guild required (for emblem). Dedicate time to the guild- see above Defender rank duties for examples. Participate on forum.

 

  

Warder                        Must display constant loyalty and dedication to the guild.  A leader. Extremely active in the guild activities and vision. Should begin a second class. Will assist group expeditions when needed. A Warder is a sub-leader to his class Guardian. Responsible for your or any appointed classes in time of war (mobilizations, missions, expeditions, execution of battle orders, etc.)

 

Guardian                      Must display constant loyalty and dedication to the guild.  A proven leader. Extremely active in the guild activities and vision. Should begin a second class. Will assist group expeditions when needed. Only two Guardians per class type. Responsible for your or any appointed classes in time of war (mobilizations, missions, expeditions, execution of battle orders, etc.) Proven activity in guild forum, aggressively coordinates guild activities. Only one of your characters can be designated as Guardian. Forum participation a MUST.

 

 

Patriarch                    Proven to have sound judgment concerning all guild activities. Must display a sound understanding of and great support for the guild vision. Must maintain at least 2 class types. Proven leader, management and people skills. Forum participation a MUST.

 

 

Keeper                         Must maintain at least 2 class types. Additional responsibilities required to assist guild in all matters. Appointments should be considered from current Patriarchs. Forum participation a MUST.

 

 

Justiciar                      A vacating Justiciar will appoint a replacement to run the guild if there will be no remaining Justiciar in office. If the Justiciar position is vacated and an appointment isn’t made, a majority vote of Keepers and Patriarchs will vote to determine a Keeper to be promoted to Justiciar to run the guild.

 

Justiciar of the Month 

                                    Think guild before self, and you will be noticed and nominated by the Council of Justice most certainly.A Justiciar of the Month is authorized to claim keeps in rvr. Only the JotM will claim the keep in question if he or she is in the party taking the keep. The JotM may pass the honor onto someone else if he or she so desires.A JotM will sit on the War Council and participate in rvr plans and discussions. They will be authorized access to hear and speak in Officer Chat. A Justiciar of the Year will be elected from the 12 JotM, their deeds during their JotM rank being the criteria for attaing JotY. A future position on the Council of Justice is being considered for the JotY.
