Welcome to Jim's Place!
Here is a picture of me as a boy, ridding my neighborhood of perpetrators!

Here I am about 5 years ago, showing off my
big tool! This is my Delta Unisaw, which I had just assembled and
alligned. It replaced a Craftsman tablesaw. The old saw used to
scoot across the room when I was pushing plywood through it, but this baby
doesn't budge! I think it weighs about 450 pounds, not including the
wheels - I added the Delta mobile base, so I could move it around as
needed.
I lost about 70 pounds since then on Weightwatchers, but put about 20 pounds back on this past year and a half. As part of my 2007 resolutions, I am getting back on WW - just as soon as all this fudge runs out - I swear!!!
My workshop has shrunk down from about 1/2 the basement to about 1/5th, and is an odd shape, sort of an elongated T. You can see the rest of the basement below, showing the walls I put up to finish the basement.

I'm currently running electrical wiring and soon will finish the bathroom. Then it's drywall, carpet (???) and a BIG TV for Daddy!
Aside from DVDs and Sawdust, I collect Toy Trains! So far, it's all Lionel. (You can see our dvd collection behind the layout table in most of these pictures - my wife and I are movie nuts!).

We got into Lionel Trains, after I was playing with Legos with my kids and we got a Lego Hogwart's Express Train Set for Christmas 2004.

Right now the Legos are in tubs in the basement, along with my Polar Express Lionel set, hobo accessories, Transylvania locomotives and cars, and all my Lemax and Dept 56 buildings.
A year ago, the family put our heads together and bought a puppy - Chewy. She is half Lahso and half Shihtzu. Here is a picture of our doggie after a bad day (she chewed up two tubes of graphite I had on the counter):
Chewy is a GOOD DOG!!!
