I found us a corporate
sellout deal on a trip to the Bahamas! The deal included a night
in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, a cruise to Freeport, Grand Bahama Island,
three nights on the island, a cruise back, and three nights in
Orlando. Unfortunately, there was a mixup on their end, and we
got shorted a night on the island. To make up for it, however,
they gave us another night in Ft. Lauderdale for when we got back
from the island. It turned out okay, because the cruise got us
back late and we would have hated having to drive up to Orlando
that night; and the next day was rainy, so it really would have
sucked being on that ship in nasty weather.

The first night we camped, we discovered that the tent was broken! We thought her brother did it, so we cursed him. He claims to this day that he didn't know anything about it. Whatever. So that night we slept in the car with about a hundred mosquitos, and the next morning discovered that you had to pay to use the showers at the campground. We're cheap, so we just washed up as best we could in the sink. Here's Sandy washing her pits:

The next day we discovered the Tippecanoe Battlefield. Ah, the fond memory of Sister Catherine from freshman year in high school belting out, "Tippecanoe and Tyler, too!"

That night we got in to Ft. Lauderdale around midnight, and we got up the next morning to catch the cruise ship around 5am. We were just a little tired and decided to catch some z's on the way to Grand Bahama Island.

Ain't that cute?
