Fish Hook Tournament Report

1st Place Guy Henkensiefken 19-1, Guy pre-fished twice having one great day and one that was just so-so.  He went into the tournament with 6 spots.  He started on his best spot but it was kind of slow.  Upon going to other spots he concluded that the fish were not really going that well and decided it would be best to camp on his best spot.   He got his best fish of the day with just 10 minutes left to fish.   Guy said he got his fish on Craw Tubes and Jigs.

Key- Grinding it out on the spot where he had the most confidence.

2nd Place Mark Munson 17-4, Mark started of on a deep weedline and then went to the reeds.  He bounced between the two things during the day.  He said the bite in the reeds was better when there was no sun.  He caught his fish on a Craw Tube and black/blue jig.

Key- Fishing on the bottom in 18-20 ft.

3rd Place Dennis Lothspeich 17lbs, Dennis basically rotated between 5 or 6 weedline spots catching his fish on green jigs.

Key- Rotating between his spots.

Lunker Peter Johnson 5-5, as Pete and Herman were fishing Pete saw 3 nice bass swimming along the edge of the reeds.  He didn't get any of them to bite but that clue made them try the reeds and that is where Pete got the big one on a jig.  Pete said they only spent about 15 minutes in the reeds all day.
