WHAT IS A WEBRING?

A webring is a group of websites that are linked together using a special
HTML code. With this code on websites, a websurfer is able to go from
one site to another knowing that all the sites have the same content.

The reason that I started this webring was to promote the breed in it's entirety. Kerry breeders, owners and other enthusiasts are welcome to join the ring. My primary objective is to make it easier for web surfers to find Kerry specific web pages, something I would have greatly appreciated when I first started looking into the breed.

First, you need to have your own web site. If you do not have a website, you cannot join the ring! The whole point of joining the ring is to link your site to others, so it doesn't make any sense to join if you don't have a site. This does not mean you can't surf the ring - anyone is welcome to surf the sites that are a part of the ring.

Joining is relatively simple and the only real requirement (besides having a Kerry website) is the addition of a small section of html code linking your page to the ring. This html code is provided for you below. All you will need to do is add the code to your Kerry page and then upload your page to your Internet Service Provider.

After you submit your site to the queue and you have uploaded the HTML to your site, please e-mail me so I can review your site and link you into the ring.

 

GUIDELINES FOR JOINING THE KERRY BLUE TERRIER WEBRING

 

To Join this ring, follow these instructions. . .

1. If you DO NOT already have a Webring ID, Click Join Webring and Sign up for an ID by clicking "Sign Me Up"
Then use your browser "Back" button to return to this page. Proceed to Step 3.

2. If you DO have a Webring ID, Click Sign In and sign in with your WebRing ID and Password.
Then use your browser "Back" button to return to this page.

3. Now that you are signed in with your WebRing ID, Click Join this Ring, then Click the gray "Get Started" button.

4. Fill out the form with the address, title, and description of your site.
Be certain to use the address where the Kerry Webring Navigation Code will be placed. Click "Next"

5. Confirm the information and click "Submit"

6. You will receive an e-mail with a URL to get navigation code. Click on the URL, then click "Get Navigation Code".
This HTML code will add the Navigation Code to your page. Please make this change right away.

7. Your site will be reviewed for appropriate content, i.e. Kerry related, Family oriented, and the inclusion of the Navigation code on your Kerry related page listed when you applied to join this ring.

8. You will receive an e-mail from the Ring Master indicating if your site is approved for the ring.
