Nikki was amazed at how easy it is to make Old-Fashioned Peanut Brittle. Even more so, in how the recipe only calls for two ingredients. And, daring to be different, she substituted with pecan halves.

OzarkLad always opens his cigarette packs on the side with the UPC symbol. He claims this is the way to avoid those hazards cited by the Surgeon General.

Philly saw something the other day that nearly made her "hurl". She didn't expect a scene from *Wild Kingdom* looking out her kitchen window. There in the back yard was an unknown Doberman, chewing on a deer leg that had the hoof still attached.

Al wants to know what it is about Christmas that brings out the bad in people? Wanting his camcorder repaired for the upcoming holidays, he took it to M. P. Electronic Services. They estimated $28. Okay. Then CHARGED nearly $200. When Al "raised Cain", they decided they didn't like his attitude, and refused to take his credit card for payment. CASH ONLY! (CASH---What's that?)

Mindy still can't decide what to get for a pet. Money is a factor, too. So, now she is considering a Ball Python. It can be bought for a third of the price compared to an Albino Burmese Python. And, the iguana is in the running yet. (See how it pays to do your research?)

And speaking of research...

• Marc tells us that it is 10 times cheaper to store yer movies onto CD-ROM than on 35 mm film. (Probably 10 times the clarity, too.)
• Chet wonders about the ventriloquist team of Charlie McCarthy and Edgar Bergen. Like...How did they get so popular from doing their act on the radio?
