Hello to All who need to Get-A-Life-Soon!

Don'tcha just hate mental blocks? I had a severe one yesterday. I took the car to get it inspected. (Okay, so it was a *little* expired.) Anyway, they told me to turn on the headlights...step on the brake...turn signals...I forgot how to turn on the turn signal!

I knew it was one of those bars on the steering column. I had bright lights and windshield wipers going. It was yer typical "stupid takes over" scene. One of the inspectors had to reach through the window and turn them on for me! I broke out laughing, but they did not appear to be amused. Oh well, I'm good for another year.

Shannon was telling us of his visit to the plant. Being an electrician, he had to go flip an ON switch where they make the Dodge Viper windows. The machine requiring attention was located deep inside the factory. He had to go through a security clearance and was heavily watched (lest he be a spy). And for a small extra fee, he showed them how *they* could turn it on.

Amazon Gyrl tells us the special technique involved in eating powered hot chocolate mix. It's taking tiny spoonfuls. If you put too large a spoonful into your mouth, you can choke and poof powder all over the place. With smaller amounts, the stuff will gradually and easily melt. (Hmmm...sounds too time consuming, just give me a pack of Rolo's)

Nikki was cooking dinner, trying that new product that's a cooking bag with seasoning. Halfway through she wanted to check on those pork chops. As she was taking the pan out of the oven, the bag caught on the door latch and tore a long rip in it. She was able to secure the situation simply enough using duct tape. (She also got a $25 citation this week for not wearing her seat belt.)

Mindy's softball team is thinking of re-naming themselves the "Knot Heads". It seems they all have lumps from hitting the equipment shelf that is overhead the seats of the bus. She obviously felt one knot wasn't enough, so she bumped it twice in the same trip. She credits the win with their battered looks, saying that was what intimidated the opposing team.
