Ham How to: A Resource Page For All Hams

Click on a resource to view that selection.This page is very long,and may take a second or two to load.There are some very good resources on this page and may take you a week-end or two to get through all of it.This page will grow over time with more resources as I get them up.If you know of any more please email KJ4CTH.

  • American Red Cross Emergency Preparedness Checklist - A standard checklist of emergency items compiled by the American Red Cross.
  • APRS Search - Enter a callsign of a station running APRS (Automatic Position Reporting System), and this website will provide you with maps, etc. of their location.
  • Print a Reference Copy of your Amateur License - (Courtesy of Dean Gibson, AE7Q) Enter your callsign and this service will allow you to print a "Reference Copy" of your Amateur license. You can even pick the font on the license!
  • Morse Code (CW) Translator - This little trick allows you to type in any string of characters, words, callsigns, etc., and will output the morse code equivalent to your computer's speakers!
  • International Q Signals - A nice addition to your amateur radio lingo. What does QSO, QRZ, or QST mean? Find out here!
  • Net Procedures - What are the proper procedures for a directed net? Who can check in, and what should I do when I check in? Find answers to those questions here.
