Gambino, our Hanoverian gelding, arrived on the farm just before Christmas, 2009.  I thought the llamas were big animals...then I met Gambino.

In his past life, Gambino was a successful hunter/jumper show horse.  Here at Storybook Farm, he's in retirement, enjoying 24/7 freedom and hay!  His typical day begins at 6am, with a bucket of grain and fresh hay.  After breakfast he checks in with his llama friends and then finds a place in the sun to take a nap.  Late mornings and early afternoons consist of additional hay snacks, cool drinks, additional llama check-ins, and another nap.  Evenings he stands quietly for a massage, pedicure, and brushing until he shines.

Yes, Gambino is suffering here at Storybook Farm...the poor thing!

Riding after thirty years has been an adventure, but lots of fun.  We are so glad Gambino came to live with us...and I think the llamas are too!
