1. Who is Zipper?
Zipper is a green (sometimes blue) cartoon fly from Disney's Chip N Dale's Rescue Rangers.
Zipper wears a red sweater. He is the often forgotten fifth ranger and sidekick to Monterey Jack.

2. Where did Zipper come from?

The TV show (Canon) didn't meantion anything about Zipper's origins.
We do know that he was with Monty before they joined the Rangers, but there is no way to know exactly how long he was with Monty before they met Chip and Dale.
It seems to be generally excepted that Monty and Zipper had been companions for a long time before meeting Chip and Dale.
Some fans say they met before the Zanzibar incident others say after.
There is nothing in cannon to support either claim.
Thus it is unknown when or where Zipper met Monterey Jack. It is also unknown where Zipper came from.

It is assumed that Monty picked Zipper up on one of his adventures at some point before the series pilot.

3. When and where did he meet Monty?

This was never address in the series.

Fan theories on where and when Zipper met Monty:

A. Monty first met Zipper at Zipper's jungle home along with his family near the Panama Canal.

Fans are undecided on this. Some say he can't. Some say he can.
The DVD's sometimes give him subtitles and some of his speech is reconizable without subtitles.
