ClusterGen

ClusterGen is a tool for VGA Planets hosts. It generates random maps to your specifications, and is extremely quick to use. Use ClusterGen to quickly generate a map that you like, and then (if you like) perfect it using another fully-featured map editor of your choosing.

ClusterGen can generate maps using two different methods: plasma fractals (default) and attractors. Plasma fractal maps are completely random, while maps generated by attractors are somewhat customizable - you can add "positive" or "negative" attractors to add or remove planets from sections of the map.

Installation and Usage

Download ClusterGen. Extract the program anywhere you like. Run ClusterGen.exe. Click the "Generate New" button a bunch until you see a map that you like. If you're feeling adventurous, play around with the settings. When you've found a map you like, click the save button. Save the file to your Planets4\data folder.
