Homer Lake, July 13-17, 2006

Day 1: Leave Duluth and arrive at Homer and paddle to our campsight on the BWCA end of the Lake

Fish and break one fishing rod (BIG fish)

Day 2: Fish for smallmouth bass and take a quick trip to Sawbill Outfitters to get a new fishing rod

Day 3: 100o heat...fish and read in the hammock; hailstorm in the evening; moose in the afternoon

 

Day 4: FISH,FISH, FISH (do you smell smoke?)

Day 5: Break camp in very smokey conditions (OK, there is a forest fire to the North-the Cavity Lake fire)

Car breaks down on Sawbill Trail ...an adventure ...oh well. We will definitely be back again soon!
