Kathy Shattler is a native to Owosso, MI. She graduated from Michigan State University with a Master of Science degree in Human Nutrition and did post-grad work in epidemiology, statistics and adult obesity management.
She has over twenty years of experience as a Registered Dietitian and is a member of the American Dietetic Association as well as the Michigan Dietetic Association. She has worked in multi-faceted areas such as a Chief Clinical Dietitian, Diabetes Program Manager, Nutrition Specialist, Corporate and Rural Wellness Educator, Long-Term Care Surveyor, and as a State of Michigan WIC Food/Nutrition Program Manager. She owns her own business, Nutri-Care Consulting and currently works with an online education management company as the Director of the Dietitian and Nutrition continuing education Division. Kathy also writes regularly for an online Healthcare Education Managements site, www.redscrubs.com.
Her current areas of interest include diabetes, complementary medicine, weight management and aging.
