Karin

I never limit myself to what I use to be creative.  I always keep lots of paper with me, in addition to two or three journals, just in case.

Primarily for my mom (my biggest fan although I believe some things just plain scare her), I am posted a few items on this site.

This picture was taken at the end of '04 for a local art show.  These boxes are generally all on color and contain a theme of sorts (hard to see here).  I currently don't have any other pictures of them - they are on display at the Court Street Gallery in Uxbridge.

Complications

I pour myself into your sieve

shinning the floor with my visions of tomorrow

while you struggle to contain the mess with elementary tools

Green

I taste your greenery; unripe and unspoiled.

Willing to turn your back, to step left and forgive.

My broken sentences and broken smiles

stand alone in the shadow, barren of vision.

Pulling the rope wrapped to yesterday, toward today

but these scenes must not collide.

I am left to ponder the state of greenery.

Reaction to 9/11

Images competing with midday sun

No blood

No organs

Just flyers and criers
And now I must remember to breathe

I have watched such acts on unrecognizable backdrops
but my feet have touched that floor
And now I must remember to breathe

 Technology used against itself
Removes the fist from her face
Everyone has less than 7 degrees of separation
And now I must remember to breathe
The Dance (9/2005)

The dance we entered into
a contractual tango
has similar sharp and
seemingly erratic moves,
all well orchestrated in our reality.
But we don't slide -
our movements fail to keep proper time.
No shoulder to shoulder stance is seen
and the sharpness of his rose colored words
form blood-stained sentences that
will leave footprints for years.
