HANDS on ATLANTA DAY
"Thanks" goes out to all the KOLAGE volunteers who
participated in this Company sponsored event last Saturday! It
was a great success and much fun was had by all. Chris did an
excellent job assisting with the coordination of this activity.
Chris says, "Matthew's Place is a small 3-storey brick
building with 27 rooms. This facility is an HIV+ Transitional
Service Center sponsored primarily by the Antioch Urban
Ministries. Each resident has a 10x12 bedroom, small closet and a
bathroom built out of spare and extra plumbing parts. Residents
can live here for up to 2 years and have access to such services
as educational, mental and physical health professionals. They
are in dire need to receive plants, pictures and books." If
you have any of these items to donate, please call Chris at X 6xxxx.
He is also looking for volunteers to help him coordinate a
Christmas drive. These efforts are being spearheaded by Chris and
not the Company.
KOLAGE SOCIAL EVENT
We have made arrangements for a social event!!! BURKHART'S has been gracious enough to allow us to descend upon their back bar area. (Ground floor in the back by patio) At our disposal will be a designated bartender and a complimentary food buffet just happens to be available that evening! The event begins at 6pm on October 22, 1999. Be there or ....not. GREAT place to mix, mingle, network, meet new friends, see "old" friends and play "catch-up" with all that's going on everywhere.....! Hope to see you there. Burkhart's is located on Piedmont by Ansley Mall. Call David @ 67741 if you require additional information.
"KO DISCUSSION FORUMS"
Here is an opportunity to discuss issues that concern you. Please participate by signing up on The Coke Machine at "KO Discussion Forums."
ESC UPDATE
Some sad news: Due to increased responsibilities and an exhausting schedule, Scott has decided it was in the best interest of KOLAGE to discontinue his post as an Executive Steering Committee (ESC) member. Scott will continue to play an active role in KOLAGE and looks forward to our continued growth. As a result of Scott's decision, it has become apparent that additional ESC members will be required to handle ongoing KOLAGE activities. Many of these activities are "behind the scenes" and can be time consuming. If you are interested in learning more about the ESC or are interested in being on the ESC, please contact David Beauchamp at X67741 or by e-mail.
