Lunch at Joe's on Firday

Don't forget lunch at Joe's on Juniper tomorrow.   We will start meeting there at 12:30 on Friday.  We hope to see you there!

JOE'S ON JUNIPER
A Midtown restaurant and tavern, Joe's on Juniper invokes simpler times with oversized and boldly lit retro signs that bring smiles of recognition. Joe's menu features "Original Anchor Bar" Buffalo wings from mild to "suicidal", a dozen Certified Angus Beef burgers and chicken sandwiches, and a great selection of salads. There are 32 beers on tap, more than 110 bottled beers from around the World, 35 single malt Scotches, as well as classic cocktails and martinis. Joe's is just 2 blocks from Piedmont Park with French doors opening onto a patio with a great sunset-city view.

Project Open Hand

POH recommends that many of the meals they provide be warmed before eating.  Unfortunately, many of the people who get the POH meals need a microwave but cannot afford one.  So, if you are looking to get a new microwave oven, please consider donating your old one to POH.  POH gives the donated microwave ovens to the people they serve.

POH also needs any pantry food items that you would care to donate. They give stuff like peanut butter, canned fruits, veggies, pasta, and the like to their clients.  If you can spare some of the stuff in your pantry, please consider giving it to Project Open Hand.

The phone number for POH is 404 - 872 -6947.  They are located at 176 Ottley Dr. NE (Off Monroe Drive near 85.)
