Developing a site that accomplishes its intended purpose requires bringing together the perspectives of two entities: The site owner/sponsor and the intended visitor/user. From the perspective of the owner or sponsor, the sites purpose is based on what the owner/sponsor want to accomplish and how they want it to be perceived. Websites with the purpose of providing experience and entertainment begin with awareness of an audience and of what it will find enjoyable.
After defining the goal and purpose of the Web site, you are ready to begin developing the Web sites contents. You should gather relevant documents, workbooks, presentations, and other data that you might use or adapt for use in the Web site. The overall layout and quality of the pictures and graphics in a Web page should enhance the pages contents and make it interesting for its users to view. Web site design is very different from the page designs you find in newspapers, magazines, and other print media. Your selection of graphics, fonts, and other design elements can make the site look very appealing to your target audience or it can turn them away.
It is important to have accessible information that is not frustrating to find. Links to other pages or to different Web sites should be working, and the page elements should load quickly.
