CLUB RULES
Valley R/C Flyers Inc.
1. All members must belong to the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA) for insurance coverage.
2. Prospective new members are welcome to visit and participate in club meetings and field activities. However, only 1 familiarization flight, under the control of a current club member, will be permitted without AMA membership. In no situation will the non-member’s aircraft or equipment be used for this flight. No one can be accepted for active membership until proof of AMA is verified and recorded in the club records.
3. All visiting flyers who are current members of a recognized R/C club are welcome to use the field when a member (or members) of the Valley R/C Flyers are present. Visiting flyers must show proof of AMA before flight activities begin. Visiting flyers who are not members of another R/C club, or who live in surrounding areas are allowed 3 flying visits before dues must be paid.
4. Dues shall be $40.00 per year per member. This amount will cover any junior member(s), less than 22 years old living with senior member, and a full time student. Annual dues shall be due September 1st. Dues for new members will be prorated at $3.50 per month from the first month of membership to August 31st. In addition, new members will be accessed a one time registration fee of $25.00. Members will automatically be dropped from membership roster if dues are not paid by November 1st. (NOTE: If circumstances prevent any of the above, the club officers, as a group, may agree to waive these requirements.
5. Annual election of club officers shall be held at the regular meeting in September. Officers shall consist of 1) President 2) Vice-president 3) Secretary, and 4) Treasurer. Outgoing President will serve as Safety Officer.
6. The highest ranking elected official present will act as Field Marshall. His duties will be to see that safe flying and order is maintained.
7. Any member may be dropped from the club for violations of the following: 1) Non-payment of dues. 2) Failure to obey club rules 3) Obnoxious behavior (must be voted on by the membership).
8. Club shall be open for membership to anyone without regards to sex, religion, or national origin.
9. Any occasion not specifically covered will be settled by a meeting of the 5 officers and made part of future rules.
10. Regular meetings of the membership will be held quarterly on the first Sunday of September, December, March, and June at the club flying field. Members will be notified of any alternate meeting dates or locations.
11. Strict adherence to the official AMA Safety Code and the Valley R/C Flyers Field Operation Rules must be observed at all times.
