A Soul as White as Snow!

                              Mary had a little boy;
His soul was white as snow.
He never went to Bible Class
                             ‘Cause Mary wouldn’t go.

He never knew of Jesus Christ
                             Like other boys his kind
For while the others went to class
                             That child was left behind.

Preacher ‘n teacher tried to help
When he was just a lad,
But Mary said, “Don’t talk to me
As if my child was bad.”

Yet as he grew from lad to youth,
It dawned on her one day
That his soul which once was white
                             Had turned a dingy gray.

                              Soon realizing he was lost,
She tried to win him back,
But now the soul which once was white
                             Had turned an ugly black.

She even started back to church
                             And Bible study, too.
She asked for everyone to help
To see what they could do.

No luck; Another soul is lost
That once was white as snow.
                              Bible study would have helped,
                              But Mary would’nt go.
