Happy Landings!

Diane adopted Hamlet in March of 2002. Here he is settling into his new home.

Diane says:
"Little Hamlet is doing so well. He has gotten used to his new home so quickly. He still has his moments where he runs into his tube to hide because he heard a noise he didn't like, but he knows who his mommy is (yea!), and he's curious and loves to do his popcorn jumps and run laps around his cage, especially in the evening. And he knows the sound of his hay container being opened."

Ann adopted Reese after he spent seven months here waiting for a home.

Ann says:
"Reese (now Rocky) is doing just fine. To tell you the truth, he is just a shy little boy, and for anyone who wants a playmate, he isn't it, but he is perfect for us. He has a toy he loves that hangs from the top of the cage and dispenses his food when he works at ringing the bell. [...] He loves to be held and scritched. [...] His favorite foods are parsley and the baby greens salad from Whole Foods. I just adore him." Rest in peace, Rocky. 7/3/2002

Jolene and her children, Jasmine, Jessica, and Jared, adopted Mama and Junior in December 2001 to be friends with their guinea pig, Princess.

Jolene says:
"Mama and Jr. are doing wonderful and all 3 are best of friends now! [...] Junior is still a little shy, but the kids are able to pick her up and cuddle with her. Mama is the sweetest guinea pig I've ever seen! She keeps over Junior and Princess like they are her own."

Shelley adopted Cookie and Fire in 2001. Cookie is shown in this picture. Shelley tells us that Cookie is more of an outgoing, friendly girl, while Fire is still Cookie's pet! Shelley has purchased a pouch for both Cookie and Fire and hopes that that will help Fire become more comfortable in her new home.

Julie adopted Petey to be friends with her older boar, Max. She built them both a nice big cage and they are the best of friends! The cat will sit and watch the boys till they run over and scare her off!

Parker and his family adopted Duckie.

Parker writes:
"Thank you for letting me adopt Duckie. She is very happy here. [...] She likes her pellets and hay."

Nathan adopted Jellybean back in November of 2001. He says, "Jellybean is doing great! He has been very active and exploring his new home. He seems to be becoming more comfortable with me."

Kim and her family adopted Pumpkin and Cocoa.

Kim says:
"Just thought that I'd take a moment to tell you that Pumpkin and Cocoa are doing very well. They seem as happy as guinea pigs get. They are growing, at least we think so. They still are a little skittish about getting picked up but LOVE to snuggle with the kids. Pumpkin in particular knows that Sara belongs to her. She and Cocoa were having a moment (Yes, Cocoa is definatly coming into his own!) and started squeeking loudly until Sara snuggled her. This made Sara's day. They are eating well, and Pumpkin loves to remind me that it has been a couple of hours since their last fresh snack. Cocoa loves to climb around over the tubes that we have for them, he is definately the brave explorer. [...]
Thank you for taking such great care of our pigs, they are our family now. Even the cat knows it, even if she doesn't always agree. "

Lora adopted Fabio in May of 2002. She writes:
"Hi...Lora here...Fabio's very proud owner!!! He has adapted very well already....Enjoying his large cage....hay, water, treats (carrots) and attention! He has been a big hit with our family already! And everyone agrees he looks like me!
[...] He is a wonderful little friend! I put some cat toys with bells in his cage for him....of course he was interested right away!"

Sue and her daughter adopted Kula. Sue says:
"Kula is doing great. I got a little play fence for him and he runs all over the house. He is really sweet, he really likes carrots and green beans."

Here is Jessica and Michael with Sammy. You might say that Sammy picked them out...he knew what he was doing. He is going to have a great life with their family, with all the hay he can eat--thanks to the family horse!

Alison and Erika adopted Gracie (with their parents, of course). I know Gracie is going to be loved! Look how comfortable she is. She knows she's in good hands.
