Yu Ruo Le was born October 8, 2006. She spent some time at the Yulin Social Welfare Institute, Yulin city, Shaanxi province but was soon taken to the Starfish Foster Home in Xi'an city, Shaanxi province. There she began being cared for by her foster Mother Amanda DeLange and came to be known as Jasmine, or LeLe for a nickname ( happy happy in Chinese). Amanda has been caring for Jasmine since early 2007.
The Starfish Home does great things for these children and Jasmine is proof of that care. We are looking forward to meeting and spend time with Amanda. We are extremely grateful for what she and the people that support the Starfish Home have done for Jasmine.
So why Megan? Well, it took us quite a while to decide, and settle on the name that we would call our little girl. We know it will be another challenge for her, being taken from the place and people that completely make her world, coming to a new place, new people... but Megan just fits. If you do like we did and look at the pictures and say the name, you'll see what I mean.
