Sulphur Creek

Sulphur Creek is a real steep sucker. According to the topo map approaching 500 and 700 ft/mile in places. The first mile averages over 400 ft/mile. It is definitely the most technical creek I have run to date. It doesn't have any monsterly tall drops, just lots and lots of 3 to 15 footers. Very blind, very undercut, very tight and extremely beautiful. Several drops land on poorly padded shelf rock, and one funnels 90% of the water into a NASTY undercut cave. This creek comes into Richland downstream of Bobtail on the river right. Go North from Witts Spring and turn left at Magic Springs to get to the put-in.
