Optional assignment #1: Do this if

credit:
Reading the news and learning more about the Spanish-speaking world
Answer the following questions about your assigned country and region:
1) what is happening in your country/region? Read the news at
least four times, and
keep a journal. Each entry should include:
- date
- title of article
- The website you found in on
- what you learned, IN YOUR OWN WORDS
2) science plug: Have there been any earthquakes/tremors today in
your assigned country? Where can you find this information?
Are there any volcanoes in your country? Is it on a fault
line? Is it earthquake-prone? Research, and write a entry
IN YOUR OWN WORDS describing WHAT you found out and WHERE you found the
info.

Optional assignment #1: Do this if
your comprhension/confidence/grade is not where you want it to be:
1) Print out the following chart.
Fill it in for all the verbs we have used in class (about 3/4 of these).
2) Go to http://conjuguemos.com/home/docs/php/login.php?who=student
Play around with the site until you figure out how to select verbs to
create your own conjugation quizzes. Find and choose some of the
verbs from your chart and quiz yourself. If you want credit,
DOCUMENT that you did this (writing them down, parent note with
signature etc.)
3) Practice writing some sentences with different subjects, and using
the correct conjugations.
