PLEASE LEAVE THIS INSTRUCTION SHEET HERE FOR THE NEXT CLASS

1. Make sure you have your online textbook user name and password and lined paper for taking notes. I will be checking these notes, so make them neat, or re-write them when you do your homework for Tuesday.

2. Open Internet Explorer and type 'my.hrw.com' into the address bar.

3. Using your user name and password, enter the online textbook.

4. Select 'Book Pages' and go to page 44 of the textbook. Click on the vocabulary words one by one, and look at the pictures. Guess to yourself what they mean. Don't forget the words in the yellow 'más vocabulario' boxes!

5. On a piece of lined paper entitled 'palabras descriptivas' (descriptive words), copy down all the Spanish words in column form. *You do NOT have to write the word down twice if it is a repeat, or a repeat with the 'a' ending for girls. There are a total of 22!

6. Now, go to page 73. This is a summary of all the vocab. Find the ones on your list and copy down what they mean.

7. Underneath your vocab list, answer the following questions: How many new ones did you guess correctly? How many of them did you already learn in class?

8. Underneath that, describe yourself by answering this question: ¿Cómo eres tú? If you don't know what that means or how to answer it in Spanish, click on the ¡Exprésate! Dialogue box on pg. 45. Use at least 4 adjectives to describe yourself :)

9. You're done with the written work. Show to Sra. Riddle for a 'check'. Find the Music video for Chapter 5, 'Bonito'. Listen to the song and watch the video. You won't catch more than a few words because this song goes FAST. But, look carefully at the video. What do you think this song is about? We will discuss this in class and be doing a fun activity with the song on Monday.

Extra time: Go to 'student links' and find a game you can play. It must be direct link from my website!
