Larsen's Bay Resort

by Peter Dorner
For seventeen years, when we heard “Larsen’s Bay”
You can bet your last nickel we were on our way
That’s quite a long spell — those seventeen years
Many a good time, and quite a few beers

Whether we were fishing or playing cards or just cruisin’
Our every wish was met by Lee and Susan
And all those wonderful cabins right by the shore
Who in the world could ask for more!

The best resort in the North, I venture to guess
Spotless cabins and outdoors, there was never a mess
We adopted unwanted geese and caused you concern
But we did change our habits — old boys can still learn

Yet age creeps up and good things must end
But your best kept resort we’ll always defend
And now from Killian and Clarence and Lois and me
We say “thank you, oh thank you” dear Susan and Lee
