Treasurers  report reviewed, discussed and approved

• Current checking balance: $937
• Members - total = 55

Scholarship Report

• Info out to the schools.  Applications are due to the scholarship committee by 4/15.  It was recommended and approved that we provide 10 scholarships at $1000 each for 2003 based on funds available. 

 

UW Sports 2003

• UW vs. Indiana 2/15 at McMurphy's - Nothing to do - COME ON OUT!!! 

Volunteer Programs

• Basketball roster program at the local High Schools - John Boray is looking for volunteers.  There are 4 games left to cover with the last game on 2/24. 
• KidsFest -  date is Sunday Feb 9th 2003.  10:30 AM to 4 PM.  Terry Schardt has all the key Sno-Kone parts reserved.  Check the Club website for summary of sales etc after 2/9.

Founders Day  -->> Annual Scholarship and UW Alumni Banquet

• May 8th - mark you calendars - Comfort Inn.  Guest Speaker is Assistant Men's Basketball Coach,  Rob Jetter.  This years event will be held at the Comfort Inn,  tickets are $20 per person including tax and gratuity, open bar 6:30 - 8:30.  A mailing will be sent.

Club Publicity

• Rochester Badger Webmaster - Dave will update with latest Club info and pictures from KidsFest

Business - old, new, and otherwise

• Wine tasting - February 8, at the Boray's.  Cancelled
• UW Marching Band Concert in Rochester - This is a BIG deal - Yes indeed they are coming to Rochester on Sunday, March 2nd for an afternoon concert.  The French Club is sponsoring as a fund raiser. JM Auditorium.  Call the Dosch's if you are interested.  Tickets are $8 in advance, $10 at the door. 
• UW Band Concert in MADISON - excellent opportunity to absorb some delicious entertainment.  Dave requested 25 tickets.

Next Meeting - March 6th at Whistle Binkies at 6:30 PM.  NOTE THE TIME CHANGE.  Please join the group for beer and excellent popcorn.
