date-Sept 18) starting at 10:00 a.m. with a parade. Musical entertainment will start shortly after the parade & will go through the day & evening. There will be lots of good food, craft booths, games for children of all ages & entertainment for the whole family. There is always the "History Room" with information, lots of pictures & history pertaining to the area. There will be on display a doll house size version of the town of Island during the 1930's. This was built by local citizens. This event is sponsored by the Island Community Development.The old Wooden Railroad Bridge was built in 1872 & the state replaced it in 1997.We are working on restoring the bridge in a park. Marilyn
