I am 21 years old.  I have struggled with an Eating Disorder, Cutting, Depression, Mood Disorders, Rape, Date Rape, and Attempted Suicide.  I have been raped three times- first when I was 12 by two men I did not know, second time by a boyfriend, third time last year while I was running ON CAMPUS.  I have been hospitalized and in inpatient treatment many times for eating disorders, suicide attempts, and cutting, and felt hopeless that life would not get any better.  I am currently in recovery-mode and leading a much healthier, happier life than before.  It is a constant battle every day, but it is worth it!  I continue to hold onto the hope that I will one day not have to struggle with these problems!!  I am pursuing my degree in Communication with a minor in Psychology.  My goal is to be a fundraising representative for the Children's Miracle Network while touring schools to talk about the many issues young adults face.                                                          

The reason I wanted to start this web site is for people who are struggling with these very difficult problems and their friends and family who want to learn more about the issues to help their loved ones.

                My struggle with Anorexia began at a very young age.  My innocence was lost and I used my eating disorder and cutting to cope.  It is still an every day battle, but I KNOW I CAN DO IT!!!!  I HAVE TO!!!
