This
web is a work in progress and since we have never built a web page before,
comments are welcome.
Linkville Newfoundlands
is located in Klamath Falls, Oregon. We are situated east of the Cascade
mountains at an elevation of 4200'. It is a great place for raising Newfs. Summers are not too hot and winters are
usually cold with plenty of snow.
Our dogs are our
passion. We exist for them. They are wonderful companions, smart,
funny and just plain great to live with - even though they slobber and shed
year round! Our dogs are bred first and foremost to be a wonderful family
member. If we are fortunate we have one litter per year. We have
been members of the NCA (Newfoundland Club of America) since 1989, members
of the NCNC (Northern California Newfoundland Club) since about
1991 and members of the all breed Klamath Dog Fanciers since 1988. Both
Chris and I have performed in various capacities for the all breed club.
We have each been the Show Chairman for our local show (7 years worth) and
Glenda has been recording secretary and trophy chairperson. Chris has served as President and Glenda as a
Board Member.
We started showing Newfs in 1987 and decided that we had something to offer
the Newf world and the dog world in general.
That was the beginning. We have shown our own dogs to their championships
and are very proud of that fact. Most of our champions have been owner
handled from the Bred By Exhibitor class. As we have aged it has become
harder to do so we have joined forces with some wonderful handlers - Rick &
Dinah Baggenstos.
