"Lake George is only 2 hours north of New York City?"

"Yes, sure is...straight up the Taconic Parkway, an easy drive."

"No kidding.  I had no idea."

"Absolutely.  You should plan a trip up there on the end of a business trip sometime.  They have this amazing motorcycle rally there in summer.  I went up for the weekend one time, you couldn't believe all the friggin' motorcycles everywhere."

"Oh yes, that's Americade, and why I was asking.  Gee, if it's that close, I really should make the trip sometime..."

That conversation occurred last winter, between some of our New York-based staff and me, and led to my first-ever trip to Americade.  Nothing prepares you for seeing this many bikes in one place, at least nothing prepared me.

But I got to ride back on this Tiger.

Triumph Tiger

El Tigre is a fierce-looking ride, *nice* ergos.
