If you fool with cars long enough, you will end up using lots of products and finally settle on ones that work well for you. Here's a recap of some products that I've sampled along the way...some that were great, and some that must have been okay for someone else but not me. |
Team Miata Crazy Red Italian Roebuck Mazda |
| Category | Product | Comments |
| Body/Frame | Team Miata Hood Support | Mazda owners tired of the ol' prop rod to hold up their hood can install the Team Miata hood support. Using a gas-filled strut (like a hatchback support), the product installs easily and works great. |
| Body/Frame | Roebuck Mazda Rear Window Protector | Many companies offer these vinyl and cloth protectors for the Miata back window. I followed a tip from Miata.Net to order one from Roebuck Mazda, and it is indeed very heavy, soft cloth to pad the window, and snaps lined up perfectly, a problem sometimes. Very satisfied. |
| Body/Frame | Crazy Red Italian Air Horns | As delivered, my Miata's horn was a pitiful bleat...I was accustomed to sports cars having air horns with authority, like my old 124 Spider. I bought the Crazy Red package of Fiamm air horns, probably like you'd buy most places, but with instructions and fitment so that they're a no-brainer perfect install on a Miata. Mine were on in 20 minutes, instructions were *perfect*, and sound great, just what I was looking for. The most difficult part was changing the stupid 15a fuse to the supplied 20a...tiny fuses in a hard-to-reach spot, operating by feel mostly. |
