Inside this issue:
Why I Use Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (full story) by James D. Cowart, Ph.D.
"Different variations of CBT have been shown to be most effective or one of the most effective for problems such as Panic Disorder, Agoraphobia, Social Phobia, Obsessive-compulsive Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Post-traumatic Stress Disorder, as well as chronic depression and many other diverse problems."
The Importance of Self-Care (full story) by Dr. Rani Raote, Ph.D.
"Unless we attend to our own emotional health we run out of energy to deal with the difficulties and problems of someone else. Our efficiency is affected when we deprive ourselves of the necessary self-care and feel emotionally drained. We don't think clearly, and become impatient, judgmental, critical, tired, and often end up nagging, blaming or fighting with the person we are trying to help."
Twenty-Four Hours in the Life of a Person with Generalized Anxiety Disorder - "Learning to Dance with Wild Horses" (full story) by Andrea Lanier, Group Facilitator
"The goal of this story is to show what it might be like to live with anxiety, and what type of coping skills may be helpful relative to these experiences."
