The Guys at Peasant-Trade. Oil on Canvas, 16" x  20", 2009.

I spent the year between June of 1985 and July of 1986 in Asia, teaching in Malaysia. During the year I traveled to India, China, Indonesia, Thailand, Nepal, Japan, and Australia. This group of pictures shows some of the people I saw on that trip.
Several tourists at the Taj Mahal in Agra, India.
These two men in Xian, China, were playing Chinese Chess. The photo was overexposed but I liked it just the way it was.
The men were inside Da Ban City Peasant-Trade Market in Urumqi, China.
These children were in class in a Tibetan refugee camp in Nepal.
These artists on the island of Bali in Indonesia were  making wood carvings for tourists.
Chinese Chess. Oil on Canvas, 16" x  20", 2008.

This picture shows women touring in Jaipur, India, nicknamed "The Pink City."
