Our Home
Our town, Morgan Hill, California, is 8 miles south of San Jose, 1-1/2 hours south of San Francisco, and one hour away from the beautiful beaches of Monterey and Santa Cruz. Our relaxing home has a big yard and a fenced-in pool. We have lots of patio area and a large lawn that the kids love to play on and holds a huge jumphouse for parties. Our house is the center for social gatherings and sits in the corner of the cul-de-sac where the kids all ride their bikes, rollerblade, play basketball and baseball, drive their remote control cars, and, most importantly, they all know each other.

Work
Bob works as a manager for a beverage distributor. His job allows him flexibility to attend our children's events or be home if necessary. Julie works part-time for the same distributor and teaches violin three afternoons a week. Julie can take the kids to school in the morning and pick them up when they get out. The violin lessons are out of our home and that allows her to be with the kids every day after school. When a baby arrives, however, Julie will leave her part-time job to be a stay-at-home mom and will teach violin out of the home. It has been a blessing for our family to have schedules that are so available to the children's needs.

Family Fun
We do most things together as a family because it is important to us to keep that unit whole. Friday nights are pizza nights with our neighbors and Bob’s parents. Sunday nights are our BBQ night at our house or a friend’s. We go peach picking every summer and make jam. We attend the children’s games and events, as well as professional sporting events (ice hockey, baseball, basketball & football). We all love to travel and have, individually and together, been many places. The children have joined us in visiting friends all over the U.S., including Washington, Oregon, Minnesota, Atlanta, South Carolina and Florida. As a couple we’ve traveled a little further to France, Mexico and Canada. Our most recent family trip was a cruise to Alaska. We always try to take in a baseball game while on vacation and we’ve attended home games of the Minnesota Twins, Bob giving Jenny a piggyback Atlanta Braves, Seattle Mariners, and San Francisco Giants. It will be so fun to carry on this tradition with another child!
