All lure are primed, hand painted, and finished with polyurethane. Each lure is signed Manistee Bait Co. and sequencially numbered on the belly. Each lure comes with a light weight cardboard box. This 5" 3-piece diving frog lure is inspired by the old wooden Paw Paw Wotta Frog lure. I shaped this lure out of cedar giving it raised carved-wooden eyes and hand painting it. Lure has two 3X strong chrome hooks dressed with hand-tied squirrel tail. And one plain belly hook. Colors available: Classic Green Frog, Classic Yellow Frog, Classic Blue Frog, Classic Silver Frog, Classic Brown Frog, and Classic Flourescent Red.
The "Cast Away Crayfish" crawdad lure is styled after the old Paw Paw Crawdad lure. This 3" lure has two round bend bronze hooks that are trimmed with grey squirrel tail hair. Lure is hand painted and has brown plastic eyes. Lure has an external belly weight. Lures are signed Manistee Bait Co. and sequencially numbered on the belly. Each lure comes with a light weight cardboard box with custom graphics.
The TIMBER MOUSE lure’s body is 2-1/2" long with a 2-piece tail that is 3" long. I wanted to come up with a unique tail and after much thought I came up with this simple but neat two piece jointed wood tail, it swings and pivots around quite nicely. The dive lip is crafted from a french spinner blade. Lure has a 3X chrome hook that is trimmed with fox squirrel tail hair. Colors are: "Mossy Mouse" which is a grayish green color that fades into a tan belly with a black stripe down the back (stripe borrowed from Heddons old Meadow Mouse paint job), and Get Away Gray. Mice have painted black dot eyes, red mouth and raised carved wood ears.
This 3" surface lure is inspired by the old wooden South Bend Teas Oreno lures. This is a smaller version of the Teas Oreno these lures wobble as they plow the surface for great action. Colors shown in the pictures available as well as Sucker Belly White, and Emerald Shiner.
This 2-1/2" diving lure is inspired by the old wooden South Bend Min Oreno lures. This is the smaller version of the Min Oreno (I make the larger version as well) these lures have a lip handmade from an Indiana spinner blade with wire line extender line tie. Colors shown in the pictures available as well as Sucker Belly White, Emerald Shiner, and Flourescent Red Steelhead Special.
Water Zeppelins are my version of the cool old double prop lures. I have an underwater belly weighted version as well as a surface version with counter rotating props. Colors shown in the pictures available as well as Spotted Sucker.
Zerberts are a lure of my design shaped to resemble a large fly. Its large head is equiped with a large prop that will churn the surface without making the entire lure spin. The end of the tapered tail has two short string feelers protruding from it. Colors shown in the pictures available.
