Fastnet acts as the construction manager and is the owner’s one point of contact for the project.
The typical program will have a Fastnet construction manager (CM) working with the designers and architects to understand the plans and requirements. Then they will bid the program out to (or select) a general contractor (GC) to support the specific site builds (qualify, negotiate and award). They will then manage the schedule, handle communications with the community / mall / customer, approve change orders, release progress payments, and make sure the GC files appropriate paperwork.
