In 1995 the LYFA Board of Directors decided to honor individuals that had been dedicated and committed to the league. The 100 Yard Award is the highest honor that can be bestowed upon any individual by the LYFA. The Recipient of this award must have served in the LYFA for a minimum of ten seasons, and must have been a valuable asset to the league.

Robert L. Davis is native of Morristown and is known by many in the lakeway area as Bobby. A graduate of Morristown West he is married and a father. Upon graduating from high school he continued his academic and football career as he was awarded a football scholarship from Carson-Newman College. He has coached in the league for a total of 20 seasons, and has served as a member of the board of directors for two terms. In 1981-82 he served as a Raiders assistant coach. In 1983-1994 he served as a Rams assistant coach. In 1995-98 and 2000 he served as the Rams head coach. Bobby is a fixture in the community and has received many accolades. Just a few to mention are: Who's Who Among American High School Students - Honor Graduate Morristown College - ETHRA Above and beyond Award - West Elementary Hall of Fame Inductee - Morristown Parks and Recreation Coaches Award - Morristown Parks and Recreation Hall of Fame Inductee - NAACP Unsung Hero Award - and the list goes on. Bobby is also the founder of the "Save Our Youth-Stop Gangs-Drugs-Violence" Program. He has also served as a Big Brother and has been a mentor to many young people at the Boy's and Girl's Club of Morristown. When you hear the name Bobby Davis the first thing that comes to mind is a friend to many and a director of youth. For his hard work, dedication and commitment to the youth of the lakeway area, The entire community would like thanks for going the distance.
