Water

• Engineer Study evaluating raw water alternatives: Complete
• Environmental Assessment of preferred options (which is required for permitting purposes) : Complete
• The Town is in the process of looking for a suitable site to meet our water needs
• Study is available for public inspection at Town Hall

Greenway Expansion

• Plan to extend Greenway from behind Hunam to Faculty Street
• This section will be along Greenway, Winklers Creek and Wilson Road and will include bike lanes and sidewalks
• This project will be done in four phases due to cost considerations
• The first phase will include the section along Wilson Road
• Town has a DOT enhancement grant to help cover the cost of this phase
• Town waiting for final DOT approval of most recent submitted plans
• Project will then be submitted for bids

Howard Street

• Progressed from the concept developed 8 years ago to adopting the design
• In the process of acquiring needed voluntary easements (done to contain the costs) then we will move to the construction phase
• Per the recommendation of the Local Government Commission the Town will pursue an installment purchase loan to finance the project

421 Project

• Town working with DOT on enhancements to the 421 Project
• Town working with the County and ASU on moving the 421 Project up on the priority list

SMART Growth Audit

• Audit is in process, stakeholders to be interviewed
• Completed by December 2007
