Violations which will not result in
penalties:
Amezaga of Chicago reached 152% playing time against left
handed pitchers. The limit is 150%. In looking into this, I cannot
figure out what happened. Amezaga started a game against a right handed
pitcher. A lefty reliever came in during the 4th inning and
despite Amezaga’s player tendencies for pinch hit for vs. LHP being set to
“most frequent”, and at least two players on the bench who could play at 2b
(where Amezaga was) the computer manager did not pinch hit for him. It
happened again later in the game. It may be because he can play so many
positions and on the Cubs depth chart he is listed as the first replacement at
many positions, including some vs. left handers. I would suggest Tom take
him completely off the Depth Chart against LHP. If Tom does this, I will
not penalize the Cubs.
