The last Thursday of the month, and during parent/teacher/student

conferences, the "Franklin Café International Store" will be open.

Here you can buy items from Spanish, French and German speaking countries, as well as dictionaries, t-shirts and much more!

T-shirts, our most expensive and only two number digit price are $20, and only by order (see catalogs). Everything else is less than $9.

Franklin First Semester Calendar 

"Franklin Café" events are open to other schools, members of the community and family . Just call 743-6130 and let me know how many are coming, and how can you help.

 

January (TBA): Annually Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Banquet.

 

 

January :  14, 20, 21,27,28 at 7:30 pm - January: 21, 22, 28, 29 at 2pm - January 15th at 4pm.: "Beauty and the Beast" musical production at JPAC. Adults $20, Students $15. Family matinee all tickets $12 only on Saturday (2pm show). (Transportation will not be provided for this event. Señora Edna is in the play, come and see me!)

 

February 14th:3:15 pm to 4:30 pm "Basant Panchami," the Festival of Spring, is celebrated  during February-March. It is celebrated at the end of winter to welcome spring. 'Basant Ritu' means the spring season in Hindi. It is during this time that  the mustard fields are in full bloom, giving the impression of yellow carpets laid out on acres of land. People welcome this change of season by wearing yellow clothes, flying kites and having lots of fun. We will cook special dishes for this celebrations and make kites decorations. Bring $5 to cover the food cost. Donations are accepted and scholarships are available.

 

 

March 17th:  8:00 p.m., Friday.  Eaton Chapel, Beloit College. In six short years Solas has made a major impact in both America and abroad as an Irish music super-group whose albums and live shows are among the finest and most exciting musical experiences in the world.
Tickets are $4 students, $10 Seniors and $15 adults. (Adult tickets for the drivers and chaperons will be the same as for students.)  Money is due February 7th. Donations are accepted and scholarships are available.

April 25th:  3:15 p.m.- 4:30 pm. "Yom Ha Shoah- Holocaust Memorial Day"

Ms Alison Van Able will be our guest speaker for this slide and lecture presentation. Refreshments will be serve. Bring $2. Donations are accepted and scholarships are available.

May (TBA): : "Cinco de Mayo". Come and celebrate with the entire community. We will meet at the entrance of the UAW Building across from Blackhawk Veterinary Hospital, and close to Pick and Save.

June 6th : 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm. Franklin Café and Student Council Annual Car Wash to help the continuation of this two great students' organizations.
