| HyperStudio |
Because the HyperStudio program is not available in all computers I will present the slides as cards for anyone to see. I created this interactive presentation for my students to learn the parts of the body, but also to expose them to the wonderful world of art. Each slide has sound and gives the students the opportunity to answer questions, giving them the correct or incorrect response. They worked independently, at their own pase and not only were they exposed to new material, but also reviewed numbers, colors, paterns and styles learned in the past years. There are 37 slides in this presentation. Here I show only 11.

Students press one of the English words buttons to learn how to say this word in Spanish and the work of a famous artist showing that part of the body. Once in the Spanish card the students press the "In English" button to learn new words. See samples:

This slide shows the self-portrait of painter Vincent Van Gogh and a short information about his life(L). After reading, students are asked in Spanish which parts of the body can they see in this portrait(R) They press thebuttons' with the parts of the body words in Spanish. If the answer is correct they get cheered by a happy sound anda "Tu respuesta es correcta" in case of error the sound is not so happy and the message is"Tu respuesta es incorrecta. Trata otra vez"

This slide shows a mural from Diego Rivera,it tells the students were it is located, who the painter is, etc. On the other side, students are asked how many legs, hands, lips or other parts of the body they see or are in the mural.

Students are ask to choose 2 or 3 pictures from the next page and describe the parts of the body they see in them. They are ask to send this description via e-mail to me.
