Eternal Love
Coventry, CT From the intersection of South Street & Silver Street. Head on South Street away from Coventry for 0.02 miles and park by the small grave-yard. This grave-yard holds the tale of a deep romance & love that held true and strong even after death. Capt. Joseph Talcott's wife, Eunice never expected tragedy to strike her life on the 10th of June 1789. Her 62 year old husband drowned in the Scungamug River. Eunice went on living her life with out her beloved Joseph for another 24 years until her death in 1813. When Eunice was laid to rest next to Joseph he welcomed her, expressing the comfort he found in their reunion by tilting his stone completely towards her stone. Locate their stones in the small grave-yard. Take 20 paces behind the their stones. Find the small indention really low in the stone wall. To the left in the indention behind a flat rock find Eternal Love! Please take time to read their stones and if anyone can explain to me how someone "casually" drowns, I'd love to know! Don't forget your clues to Odilio's fun, new John Wayne series! It's not far! Before you set out, please read the
