This box is dedicated to the wonderful yet often over looked comic, character actor, Frank McHugh. He is best remembered for his role as Father Timothy O'Dowd in the academy award winning movie Going My Way. McHugh started in "the business" at the age of 10 in his parents stock company. At 17 he was starring in Vaudeville and soon Broadway came to call. By the early 1930s he had a contract with Warner Brothers and was often cast as the heroes best friend. He added a flavor of comic relief. His trademark was his brayish laugh. His top movies include Going My Way, The Fighting 69th, State Fair, & Footlight Parade. When McHugh wasn't on the set he could be found chatting with best friends Spencer Tracy, James Cagney & Pat O'Brian. The media dubbed the group the "Irish Mafia" but they preferred to be called the "Boys Club". McHugh retired to West Hartford, CT until his death, September 11 1981.

Follow the path. It will bend to the right. From the bend count 17 paces. You should see a small tree with two trunks and a third limb laying across the crook of the tree! Behind you should see 3 round cement stones. Behind and to the right you will see a large flat stone with two smaller suspicious stones in front of it.  Would you like to swing on a star?
