Better Birth Deck

As always, remember to use good judgement in the application of the information in the Better Birth Deck Pocket Companion. Being responsible for your own well being may sometimes mean seeking the advice of a health care provider for conditions that persist despite your efforts. Also, what follows is taken from handouts I've used in class for the last 12 years.

What is the Better Birth Deck?

Over the years I've found that many parents want reassurance that they will remember what they learn in childbirth classes or read in books. They fill their birthing day travel bag with handouts and books glowing with highlights, marked with folded corners and peppered with bookmarks...only to discover that can't find what they want when they want it. The decks in the Better Birth Series were deveoloped so that information can be conveniently slipped into a back pocket, either as single cards as needed, or the entire 40 card deck. The information is abbreviated out of necessity, obviously, but it is based on the common sense knowledge readers will gave gained from Mother's Intention: How Belief Shapes Birth. They make great shower or blessing way gifts!
