Many of these missions are inspired by actual battles and all are as historically accurate as possible. Those missions that are very closely based on historical events are marked as "historical". (Thanks to Christer Bergstrom and Andrey Mikhailov for their wonderful book Black Cross Red Star: Volume 2 which provided the inspiration for these missions)

6th Army Campaign (historical)

Stalingrad Front - November 16, 1942 - A wickedly cold winter has set in at Stalingrad. The German 6th army, under General Paulus, has taken much of the city and sectors to the north and south. There is a feeling in the air that this is as far as the German forces will reach.

6th Army - Part 1 - IL-2's attack German line. P-39 N-1 escort. Bf-109 G-2 intercept. (20 pilot, 8 gunner seats)

6th Army - Part 2 - IL-2's attack German airfields and columns. Yak-9, La-5, Bf-109 G-2, Fw-190 A-4. (22 pilot seats, 8 gunner seats)

6th Army - Part 3 - IL-2's attack airfield and armor. La-5, P-39 escort. Bf-109 G-2 and Fw-190 A-4 intercept. (18 pilots, 7 gunners)

1939 - Germans blitz Poland. Bf-109 E-4, E-4/B, Ju-87 B-2, P.11c. (20 pilots, 4 gunners)

Ice Road 2 - Bf-110's and Bf-109 E-7/B's strafe supply convoys. Bf-109 F-4's escort. P-40 and Hurricane IIc intercept. (16 seats.)

(This is a revision of the first "Ice Road" mission. It has more objects and is a little prone to lag online, but it is more like the mission I wanted to make about the historical supply line than the original. Expect another revision when the Bf-110 becomes flyable.)

Estonia Retreat - IL-2's attack retreating German trains. Yak-9D escort. FW-190 A-5, Bf-109 G-2 intercept. (22 pilot, 10 gunner seats)

Sevastopolskiy (historical)

Sevastopol was the last Russian stronghold in the Crimea by the summer of 1942. The brave VVS fighters of 6 GIAP/VVS-ChF who defended the city against all odds came to be known as the "Sevastopolskiy".

Turkish Rampart (historical)

The Turkish Rampart, the remnants of a deep ditch dug in the 8th century to ward off invasions from Asia, stretches across the Kerch peninsula. It is here where the Red Army made their last ill-fated attempt to halt the German advance across the Crimea in the spring of 1942.

Winter Offensive (historical)

Extremely cold temperatures (-20 degrees Celsuis) groundeded the bulk of the Luftwaffe along the Moscow front in January 1942. "Alert boxes", small heating shacks which enclosed the noses of aircraft, kept a few German planes operational, but the skies were dominated by Russian aircraft, operating out of well-supplied, well-heated airfields.
